THE OWNER
Elie started in the barber business when he was 13 years old, sweeping floors at a local barbershop. One day, a customer gave him a dollar. “It was the most beautiful thing ever,” Elie said. “When I went to play with the other kids, I was the only one with a dollar. I loved that.”
Over the next few decades, Elie traveled the world — from Dubai to France to England — refining his craft. He has earned certificates and diplomas abroad and trained alongside some of the best barbers in the industry, though he still believes the learning never stops.
“There is always going to be someone that does something better than you,” Elie said. “You learn it and perfect it so you can be on the same level with any competition.”
